Yesterday we had a Potjies competition of the Department. Different random choosen groups had to decide on a country and serve dishes in a traditional Potjie pot. We were France and had two nice dishes. Everybody dressed up und decorated the table before the jury came around and tasted all disehs. Find below some pictures.

Lizel wants to ga à la playa!

After the heavy rain two weeks ago my car and Chris's white Golf got a bit wet inside. So I took Chris car one day for a ride to work with open windows so it can dry out a bit before he comes back in August. Check out the video, thats what I found when I left work in the afternoon and went to our parking area at the university. Its a good laugh.



At least the windows are now clean! And somehow the irrigation system seems not to work properly :-)

Lena, Johannes and Katharina

Last week Katharina stayed at my place before she left back home to Germany today. Yesterday we had a nice farewell braai. The last week was very busy with work, but also social networking. The new semester started, new internationals arrived, yep, that keeps busy.
Today is Lenas housewarming party and the rest the weekend I have to write some stuff for work and try to avoid social networking.

Gestern habe ich eine Sicherheitstür für beide Eingänge bekommen. Jetzt kann zumindest keiner den Kühlschrank klauen, weil der passt nicht durchs Fenster. Ansonsten hat Rosita von letztem Freitag bis Mittwoch bei mir gewohnt. Inzwischen ist sie in Australien und vergnügt sich da. Hie rhat es ein Woche durchgeregnet, aber wie...seit gestern ist bluaer Himmel und es liegt Schnee auf den Bergen. Aber immernoch sehr kalt hier ohne gescheite Heizung, aber eben sicherer! Morgen ist erste Braai in Hans neuem Haus. Dieses Wochenende habe ich mal tauchfrei. Am 21.7. kommt Katharina aus dem Ulraub wieder und wohnt dann 3 Tage bei mir. Am 6. August zieht Chris dann ein. So, schönes Wochenende.

Dann gibts auch mal Curry-Pommes mit Rot/Weiss!
