My sister Julia, Christoph, Steffi, Mella and Mosche arrived in Stellenbosch for holiday on 14th of February. We had a welcome braai and welcome Springbokki. On 16th Steffi, Mella, Mosche and myself went up for holiday in Sodwana (diving), Hluhlu-Imfolozi National Park (Game watch) and St Lucia (Hippo and crocodile watch). We had such a great time. Will post some more pics later that week. Now I stay in Stellenbosch with my sister and her boyfriend for the rest of the week, while the other three enjoy the Garden Route and come back next weekend.

So, alles angekommen: meine Schwester Julia, ihr Freund Christoph (Achtung: mein zukünftiger Schwager), Steffi, Mella und Mosche. Mit Mella, Steffi und Alex war ich 1 Woche im Urlaub in Sodwana (zum Tauchen), dann Hluhlu-Imfolozi Nationalpark (Elefanten, Gir-und normale Affen, zweilattige weisse Bänke mit Nachwuchs, Zebras, Wasserbüffel, Löwen und pipapos). Die letzten tage waren wir in St Lucia um Hippos und Krokodile zu sehen. Das war ein super Urlaub. Die drei sind nun auf der Garden Route und ich bin wieder nach Cape Town gefolgen um mit meiner Schwester und zukünftigen Schwager etwas Zeit zu verbringen. Bilder vom Urlaub kommen demnächst.

Heute hatte ich meinen letzten Seetauchgang, jetzt nur noch der schriftliche Test und es kann in den Urlaub zum Tauchen gehen.
Habe mir auch heute einen ganz "schönen" Sonnenbrand geholt. Und mein Name im Afrikaanskurs ist Bertie. Das führt zu allgemeinem Gelächter, weil es eine Soap gibt mit einem Bertie, der geistig behindert ist. Mist, habe den falaschen Namen ausgesucht...

Had today my last seadive, now only the theoretical test and we can start for the diving holiday in Sodwana. Got a bad sunburn today after the dive. My new name in the Afrikaansclass is Bertie. Everybody who knows that laughs, because there is a guy in a soapie which is also called Bertie and he is a bit retarted. Shit, choose the wrong name...

Jacques Bachelor Party

We start at the end, as usual :-). Last Saturday Jacques had his Bachelor Party. Jaco organized a lot of nice things and we went to a Brandy and Grappa tasting in Stellenbosch. Afterwards we had a braai and meeting with the Jägermeister at Duans place (I guess I wrote his name wrong again).
We had a lot of fun as you can see on the pictures. Jacques gets married on 1st March, so dont forget to send wishes.

Jacques Junggesellenabschied

Am letzten Samstag hatte Jacques seinen Junggesellenabscheid. Jaco hat eine schöne Brandy and Grappatour in Stellenbosch organisiert. Anschließend waren wir noch im Zentrum und zum Schluss auf der Farm von Duan zum Braai und Jägermeistertreffen. Wir hatten jede Menge Spass. Jacques heiratet am 1. März!

Finally on the farm he was allowed to change his clothes but not to stop drinking.

At first he had to found some girl who will touch his lemons, and he was quit good in finding them.

After the Grappa and Brandy tasting everybody needed something else to drink and therefore we went into town and had some beers at the Dros while Jacques had to do some special tasks.

Next destination was a Grappa Destille in Stellenbosch where we had a short introduction on the production and then another tasting.

Die nächste Station war ein Grappahersteller (Dalla Cia) wo wir nach einer kurzen Einführung ebenfalls ein paar Schnäppschen geschlagen haben.
